In 1955 and 1956 I worked at Sanders Cafe in Corbin, Kentucky. At 20 years of age, I was the youngest employee at the time. My sister, Launa Wilder, also worked there. She was 18 years older than I was. We both worked the breakfast and lunch shift. We worked well together. Breakfast began being served at 6 a.m., which meant we had to be there at 5:45 a.m. We wore a white uniform with white shoes.
