Sleep disorder or insomnia refers to the health disorder of the sleeping routines of a person or a living being. Interruptions in sleep can be due to various issues. When a person finds it hard to fall asleep and even harder to stay asleep without any apparent cause it is known as insomnia. Good sleep is very essential for optimal health as are food and water and can adversely affect the hormone levels, mood and weight. Some common sleep disorders include snoring, sleep apnea, insomnia, sleep deprivation and restless legs syndrome.
