Ability to set date/time on #todo tags then reminders for that date/time. Browser pop ups, etc.
1 | hkb Friday, June 3, 2011

Email notification

2 | dirk-bongardt Saturday, July 2, 2011

what abount an automatic export of date/time-tagged items to google calendar...

3 | nakshatra Thursday, September 8, 2011

1. Ability to interact with google calendar will be a BIG PLUS! 2. Should be able to get all items for the day. 3. Ability to set priorities will be another good feature. Color codes for these are effective.

4 | n8wex Friday, October 7, 2011

yeah set reminder in any item and email would be nice

5 | stevebmartin Tuesday, November 22, 2011

This would be great. Operation similar to rememberthemilk but using this simple interface would be the mutts nuts.

6 | Monday, December 26, 2011

Almost any/all of the above requests are good. Really need a way to remind of task due date.

7 | xpareto Tuesday, December 27, 2011

smart add(text , not gui!) .Alarms.Repeat. like Remember the milk;export in Ical format, readable by un web calendar like airset,-> I can see a weekly, monthly calendar .This will be a huge plus over Evernote.

8 | Saturday, June 29, 2013

ability to set a due date the same way we can set tags (<title> #<tag(s)> #due <date>)

9 | Thursday, July 25, 2013

Ability to change the creation date for a "thing". I am using Thinkery has a logbook of my activities. If I forget to add an activity, I should be able to enter it in the future and set the date for the thing.

Post / import by email
1 | mikael Monday, September 5, 2011

An important feature. Everyone uses email...

2 | kelvinquee Monday, January 30, 2012

Email is everywhere. :) Will not pay for this as I think this is an important feature to help you folks go viral. I would pay for increased storage and other innovative features.

3 | dasrakel Monday, April 23, 2012

Just sending links or text to a private adress, I would like this a lot. I would also use this to send things from stumbleupon to thinkery.

4 | Tuesday, March 11, 2014

This is necessary to keep up against Evernote.

Calendar of bookmarks for better searching
1 | micah Wednesday, September 28, 2011

one click calendar, that connects with other online calenders like google calendar, you click your note here, add a date, and it shows up in your other calendars.

Mind Map and Outline Views. Email (Send To) Button.
1 | glennholly Monday, October 3, 2011

I would like to have this function as well! (glennholly)

2 | woodp241 Wednesday, January 11, 2012

sounds great to me , hit Mind map button and just imagine the possibilities :)

3 | fsantello Thursday, April 19, 2012

Mind Maps are great!

4 | free6000 Tuesday, July 3, 2012

Mind maps could be great for Thinkery because currently all mind mapping programs are over-complicated, not to mention ugly

5 | free6000 Tuesday, August 7, 2012

Seriously there isn't a single aesthetically pleasing mind mapping tool on the internet

6 | almagnifico Monday, February 3, 2014

Not mindmaps, but workflowy like outliner style

Sharing of things with other thinkery users (who should also be able to edit them)
1 | floaton47 Tuesday, September 6, 2011

Absolutely essential to how I'd like to use thinkery. Right now, I keep "convo lists" on a google doc - which works - but this could be so much better.

2 | jasonhufford Wednesday, November 16, 2011

I agree if not I just use google docs. I need to have areas private but give axcess to certain people

3 | ppedrick Monday, January 9, 2012

Yup - a communal version of this with: - Shared/Private folders - Mobile & Offline syncing - API/Add-ons e.g. Mind Map would see me moving our companies over to this. Right now it's great but not functional enough for a working environment. I can't even share the shopping list and potential new house gadgets with my wife!

4 | rembert Tuesday, May 27, 2014

The lack of ssharing / forwarding support was the first shortcoming I came across. Making documents public is way too open for me.

5 | technolepsy Thursday, July 31, 2014

Poor note sharing is why I want to leave Evernote. I am partial to the method I've seen elsewhere of adding @username as a tag to share notes.

6 | dad Monday, November 9, 2015

Without a powerful sharing support, I cannot use thinkery...but I'd really want to use it!!

Option to Change Bright White Background to Darker Background
1 | clearlizard Friday, July 1, 2011

Screen shot feature would be awesome to add to Thinkery. I love this site.

Share whole tags with other thinkery users
As a user I want to edit a thing or a subject of a thing if I click onto the thing text or subject text
ability to select many tags at once (when holding Ctrl)
1 | ssi84 Thursday, September 8, 2011

IT would be cool to have tags appear as you type which are previously created, and select as many of them as possible.

An iPad app, please
1 | tdelmonte Saturday, December 24, 2011

2 | Tuesday, December 27, 2011

Would be nice. My Work-around: Site pinned to screen.

Tagcloud or other way of visually processing & selecting/deselecting my taglist
Could the date be shown instead of just 1day and 8 hours ago? that's just confusing for me!!
attach files
1 | katalink Sunday, December 4, 2011

If integrated with Google Apps, a link would be enough. Storage would be provided by the Google cloud.

2 | katalink Sunday, December 4, 2011

Vote for Google Apps integration. It would open lots of possibilites.

3 | johnsrelay Monday, December 10, 2012

1+ for gapps integration

4 | prodev42 Thursday, March 6, 2014

what about office apps and outlook?

5 | brunnertony Wednesday, September 11, 2019

Please not google Apps integration. Google makes it impossible to get your stuff back. Just try any of their takeout 'services'. The format is unusable if you're not a web developer - meaning for most people.

gmail app
1 | k4ren Friday, April 20, 2012

what will the gmail app do?

2 | harayz Tuesday, July 16, 2013

ability to sync with google calendar, documents and task would be sweeeeeet

Firefox extension
1 | gailthk Saturday, December 17, 2011

I would like this firefox extension as well

2 | perfectcarl Monday, January 2, 2012

FFX 9 rocks !

Give us a calendar for make easier searching
1 | clearlizard Friday, July 1, 2011

A calendar is always a bonus to help in life. that would be cool if you could add one to this site. make it customizable for background for us users to enjoy.

ability to sort tags by alphabetical order
1 | boots Wednesday, August 14, 2013

2 | nader Wednesday, August 14, 2013

Thanks for the suggestion, we're gonna look into that!

Keep it simple. Thinkery is nice because it is simple. Too many features might get in the way of its original purpose.
1 | Saturday, June 29, 2013

Agree on this one.. in the middle of transferring my notes from Springpad, which is superb btw, but also a time-sucking hog when You try to organize more then 20/30 entries by tags/notebooks and so on. Do one thing, but do it well.

2 | vishal_vernekar Sunday, August 11, 2013

Agree....My search for a simplistic yet powerful todo app ended abruptly when I came across Thinkery. I soon realized I could put in not only my todos but any thought that I come across and be very confident that I am not going to lose it in the chaos.

Sync #todo with Google Tasks
1 | evalentine Friday, September 21, 2012

My firm uses Google Apps. We sync Outlook, Google mail and tasks, Mavenlink for Group[ tasks to our GTasks on Android. Syncing Thinkery to Google Tasks would work very well.

Website screenshot preview
Enter via sms/txt message from cell phone
1 | almagnifico Wednesday, June 15, 2011

check ifttt.com

after deleting an item by mistake an undo button for bringing it back
1 | AngelNana Sunday, June 28, 2015

Export to csv, json or somesuch. I want to play around with my links, tags etc. myself.
1 | camelite Saturday, June 11, 2011

delete me please - i see this is already available; thanks

Desctop Client Windows / Mac
A feature that shows similar thoughts, so that as you type, you get like brainstorm for your idea
Please do something for better 'read it later' fuctionality. E.g. stop asking if I really want to archive a note, or make tags easily (one click) detachable so I could use #new tag for unread items. Thanks.
1 | bokonon Friday, July 15, 2011

It would be nice if there was just a button when adding something called "Read Later" and have a tab of unread things that I can easily mark read.

group feature
1 | alex Saturday, May 21, 2011

could you elaborate what a "group feature" is for you?

2 | vatyma Sunday, July 3, 2011

being able to share an idea set with a group of people for internal communications. this is a feature my company is looking for.

3 | floaton47 Friday, September 16, 2011

This needs to happen!!

integrate with http://ifttt.com
1 | nader Tuesday, February 25, 2014

we have contacted and will continue to contact ifttt... they haven't gotten back to us yet.

Allow us to select multiple tags to view. For example, we could select both "todo" and "buy" tags on the sidebar, and it would show only things with both those tags.
1 | edm Monday, January 16, 2012

Agree. Go boolean. Display all thoughts that share tag A AND tag B, that have tag C OR tag D, etc. This would also open up the possibility of GTD-like useage. E.G., I can have a set of certain-colored tags that represent context (Home, Office, Club, etc.) and then other, regular tags that I can filter within the chosen context. A simple feature with powerful results!

2 | himynameisliz Thursday, May 16, 2013

I thought you could already do this by searching for "#tag1 #tag2" to display everything with both tag1 and tag2?

3 | ittybettyyy Monday, December 23, 2013

Ditto! Would be extremely useful if users can select multiple tags.

Import and Export features, so I can import from simplenote and export to mindmap or my online calendar, or export link/page to quickly share an item on facebook or twitter, an ability to share everything and have collaborators
Add 'length' to task -- e.g., #buy milk (5m), finish #reading Crime and Punishment (1 hr) & #create wireframe for client x (35m)
1 | Sunday, June 19, 2011

hm, as thinkery is not a classical task manager I think this feature is not that important...

2 | jesseclaven Monday, June 20, 2011

Not even 'classical task managers' generally have this feature. Out of the many I've tried (Which is a hell of a lot) as far as I can remember I've seen it once — Action Method Online. So, I don't think this is a classical feature.

3 | librat12 Tuesday, June 28, 2011

Agreed with two of you. I take that Thinkery is just a place to throw all of the sudden raw thoughts. Later we can think back which one will turn out to be a fantastic idea.

Ability to Alphabetize Tags
customize view settings, show/hide left vertical menu
1 | tukankaan Tuesday, January 1, 2013

a must

Inline tag editing similar to tumblr.com when posting
more tag settings - sort by name, remember showing setting
Google Calender integration à la Coolender. Gmail / GTasks integration.
1 | johnsrelay Monday, December 10, 2012

Enhanced automatic numbering / listing in comments (such as 2.4.1 or alternative bullets etc.)
delete tags directly
1 | rin Monday, July 21, 2014

for better cleaner desktop

make a tag public, that means all items under that tag will be public, then rss feed for that tag
alarms for items, especially useful for the todo items - send them to an email address, sms or to a phone
better browser compatibility, Opera, IE, Firefox, etc.
Naviagtion short-cuts like j/k (similar to google reader)
1 | alex Monday, December 26, 2011

You can use the up/down keys. See http://thinkery.me/help.php

2 | aks Wednesday, December 28, 2011

more short cuts: like DEL (delete without confirmation), especially useful after importing and there are lots of bookmarks that you don't really want in your thinkery

trigger a rethinking .. when a website temporary send an error 500 while add the url as bookmark and a error-message is fetched as extracted page, you can manually refetch the content. Also good for imported items, which gets no extracted content.
1 | huhbot002 Saturday, October 29, 2011

+1. that would be pretty cool.

2 | huhbot002 Saturday, October 29, 2011

+1. in order to browse through the large imported bookmarks lot, i need to <edit> it, copy the link, new tab, paste and go..

3 | mikejd Monday, January 28, 2013

and index the title!

desktop app
trash can
1 | Monday, September 10, 2012

sometimes things get deleted by mistake

ability to change the email address associated with the username; neither settings nor profile seems to have this; also, would be great to be able to email something to be added to my thinkery collection along with a way to categorize with tags (in the subject or body, whatever makes sense) and mark as public/private, etc.
1 | joedigital Thursday, December 1, 2011

categorize with tags and mark as public/private in the email somewhere (I realize the web interface provides these features)

2 | joedigital Thursday, December 1, 2011

note: the comment above says it was submitted by M66hln which is the temp user ID i had before I signed up; I was signed in when I added this comment however so it should have grabbed my user ID instead, no?

3 | johnsrelay Monday, December 10, 2012

1+ for emailing into Thinkery similar to Evernote functionality.

Show canonical date-time string (e.g. "2013-08-21 14:22:45") upon mouse-hovering the age (e,g, "9 d. 3 hrs ago"), or the other way around via Settings
interface, tooooo white and lgiht! stimes hurting eyes...
Auto tag by site title or meta instead of 'url' default tag
SMS integration
1 | clearlizard Friday, July 1, 2011

This thought would be cool. to text me thoughts to this website. Please add feature.

Add a keyboard shortcut to bring up the help/keyboard shortcuts. Perhaps '?'
Actually export DATA (content) in notes, not just tag name. (What's the point of exporting, if it doesn't export 'thoughts'?)
auto-complete or a list of tags commonly used by me or others who have tagged the same page. Much like delicious's old plugin that would suggest tags.
An application for Windows Mobile
Add tags to multiple items when searching. If you search for a keyword you can then add appropriate tags to all of the results in one go. This will be especially useful if you have imported bookmarks.
interprete http error codes (400 & 500) and check them periodicaly, to find dead links
user documentation - how to use this program
an option to add items via email, so I can send items from Outlook to my Thinkery instance, for example.
An application for Blackberry
1 | a2bp Wednesday, November 16, 2011

2 | a2bp Wednesday, November 16, 2011

I love thinkery and it would make my life so much more convenient if there was a BlackBerry app!

Multi-word Tagging: Instead of read_later or ReadLater something like Evernote and Diigo (e.g. "read later").
Include google+1 to share options!
1 | kichuku Monday, July 18, 2011

Definitely I would be interested in this :)

Don't make tags cap-sensitive! "mytag" and "Mytag" shouldn't be two separate tags. Or at least make this an option in settings.
1 | alex Thursday, May 16, 2013

This is due to the fact that we allow any UTF-8 characters as tags (so for example, in Korean). We could auto-lowercase the tags as a setting. Would that help?

2 | himynameisliz Thursday, May 16, 2013

Yeah, an auto-lowercase setting would be great :)

Offline reading (or better yet, ability to add new entries) for the iOS app.
Checkbox options for a note. For making extended todo lists etc.
1 | mikejd Monday, January 28, 2013

Already a feature.... under settings.

Add color chooser for tag colors.
To open new tab when clicking add to Thinkery. Not cool when the youtube video have to be reloaded again.
Export to zip containing all documents as plain text and as html. Maybe even as local storage sync for offline access / update.
public API keys we can create applications where users can give us their public API key to scrape thinkery data
single line spacing when I press enter. It keeps giving me line and a half which doesn't fit with everything I just pasted from Google Keep
Have an option that would allow users to choose a tag to be displayed by default. For example, instead of always displaying All tags when we enter the site, we could have our #todo tags be displayed.
Screenshot and Annotating Tools for Photos
Set reminders to read articles you save
Capture tags from Delicious imports. This involves replacing = and , with =# and ,# in the raw html of the delicious exported html.
Optimization supporting for other languages.
1 | alex Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Please tell us more specifically what needs optimization.

2 | Wednesday, May 18, 2011

When I search tags and contents in Korean by a word, Sometimes thinkery couldn't recognize some of the letters at all. Oh ! It's not about language but 2 pictures of this webpage can't be extracted by thinkery even though one picture can be.

Twitter/Facebook Sync
Google Calender integration à la Coolender. Gmail / GTasks integration.
a sidebar for notes like in opera notes. that would be awesome.
Allow the use of Pen input such as for the Samsung note 2 or 8 ? using their pen
ability to filter via multiple tags (select tags with Ctrl+<tag> keyboard shortcut)
Windows Phone 8 app
Would be greate to have note writting features from OneNote were we just write anywhere in the note unlike the a linear fashion, as thinkery is more about capturing you thoughts on the go this would be a greate thing. Also making thinkery little more intelegent would be greate like basic math calculation if we write 45+123+2133= the sum is caculated automatically when a space is pressed after =.
1 | thiagovscoelho Friday, January 6, 2012

Go back to OneNote. If you need its features, don't try changing another service.

"Folders" to group tags under. I like using Thinkery for projects where I need to look up info and grouping tags into folders would be helpful. Example: group 3 tags under "school" and 4 tags under "personal" or something like that.
When we add a new item with one tag, display only the items with that tag, instead of displaying all items.
Import from Springpad (the backup - HTML file should work)
1 | donnerhall Sunday, December 25, 2011

To clearify: If you backup your Springpad - notes, you get a HTML-File. If I try to upload it to thinkery, none of the links get imported.

• Google Calender integration à la Coolender. • Gmail / GTasks integration. • Content clipping bookmarklet like Diigo, Clipmarks, Amplify. • Content bookmarklet like Posterous or Tumblr.
1 | katalink Sunday, December 4, 2011

If integrated with Google Apps you could have all of the above. Vote for Google Apps integration. It would open lots of possibilites

Configurable search options: such as "search in titles only" and if I apply keywords in note titles, the search would be faster and more relevant. Other options can include the / and other special characters as part of the alphabet, whole words, etc.
In addition to the Tag classes Favourite and All, have a a History class, that shows those tags that have been added or had items that they tag updated with certain time periods, say last hour, 1 day, 1 week.
History of a note (for unlimited undo) just like in simplenote
RSS feed for tags. For Flipboard, Pocket etc.
Option to prevent page extraction, link only
index the page title
As an academic I would love to be able to sort my clippings, thoughts, etc into a knowledge tree. Very useful for writing papers and so on.
Nested taggs that so that you can have mutiple tags of the same name but under different heading. This would be quite Useful.
anti-twin/anti-duplictor : location bar's bookmark indicator for Firefox and Chrome
1 | jvxaquino Tuesday, May 1, 2012

RSS Feed Option - Links only (regardless of extraction)
It would be nice if there was an option to choose whether or not links open automatically in the same or different tab as Thinkery.
1 | brandtmj Tuesday, January 3, 2012

In my browser I usually want to open a link in the same tab; however, I prefer to keep Thinkery open most/all of the time. When I click on links in Thinkery it would be nice if they automatically opened in a new tab. This would be similar to Google Reader where you click on a link and Reader stays where it is, but the link opens in a new tab.

2 | mikejd Monday, January 28, 2013

already an option under setting

Paste .txt into edit area
Mutli-word tags like Evernote and Diigo (e.g instead of #history #american or #american_history be able to do "american history" as one tag. I dislike having to use Wiki-style and underscores because a lot of my tags are complex.
remove the "details" button/unrolljust show the note contents
1 | nader Saturday, October 20, 2012

We have deployed the change

Ability to printing all items in a tag - with or without the additional notes
Option to export data based on tag or date, rather than exporting everything
Account deletion.
1 | alex Sunday, November 17, 2013

It is already possible, at the bottom of the profile page

Share on drupal, e.g. html code to share groups of items by tags
not only write a note, but markup the article! like diigo or scribe. then we can share our thought easily
Add some sort of language for specifying how to deal with new sites, or open source current site rules on github, allowing people to fork and create ways to deal with more sites in a crowdbased way.
The delete button is somehow placed in a very incorrect position. Most of the times when I try to select a particular thing, it so happens that I unintentionally hit the delete button
Ability to Search for East Asian Characters (Chinese, Japanese, Korean)
unicode support for chromeextension
more thorough help section (more examples, snippets etc.)
summary email sent on a daily or weekly basis
send the messages written to phone
drag and drop
Printable preview
How about a Firefox Add-on?
Make background color of todo items more lighter and softer, #ffcccc for example.
Ability to copy the currently displayed list of things (list of titles) to my clipboard, similar to Workflowy
Make "all Tags" stay open until I "click" it shut.
"is using thinkery to extend his brain" should be replaced by something gender neutral "his/her", "their" or rephrasing the whole thing. Norkov and 1,054,323 users are using thinkery to extend their brain.
1 | norkov Monday, August 1, 2011

Ok, Alex already did this. It took him half a minute.

transfer notes tec, from evernote. u de
1 | abraxtacy Thursday, December 29, 2011

would be a wonderful feature. Trying to find one all around organizing tool, has been frustrating. Thinkery has the potential to tie them all together.

tranfer feature for evernote. adding to t EV Note, until Ty is truly functional. you all ar e on a magnificent path. i do look forward rolling with your progress.
Correct Reddit page extraction
add a 'public' checkbox to the bookmarklet ui, as addition to the tag input
mass public/private option
ipad/iphone app
Write my thoughts anywhere on machine then hit the short-cut, then they go to this application.
I'd like to see a 'growl' like overlay of the thing in my browser window of the item I just added via Bookmarklet. I want to see if there was a typo, or a new tag i can add to right away before it falls into the stream...
categorizing tags
1 | almagnifico Monday, May 23, 2011

wtf? a tag is a category!

2 | camelite Saturday, June 11, 2011

a>b>c; a>d>e; a>d>f. Choose a>b & get {a>b>c}, a>d & get {a>d>e, a>d>f}

3 | camelite Saturday, June 11, 2011

Or just a seperate "meta" tag list so e.g. {education, tutorial, FAQ} -> LEARNING, click 'LEARNING' to get all under edu, tutorial, FAQ.

4 | mocca101 Monday, August 8, 2011

@camelite that's exactly what im saying

5 | himynameisliz Thursday, May 16, 2013

Yes, I'd like this too -- a way to unclutter my tag list by, for example, putting tags into groups or something. Doesn't delicious do that?

Integrate with Google Apps and provide single sign on.
"@contact" to share with others (contact can be a thinkery user, email, twitter, fb, g+, etc)
a smart phone app that has the ability to be used on all phones not just for one phone over another
LinkedIn support
unicode support for chromeextension
symbian app
voice recognition
Have options in settings: tags placed in the title are hidden automatically, or tags placed in title are always shown.
1 | mikejd Monday, January 28, 2013

This is an option under settings

Export and Organize
1 | Foolness Thursday, October 6, 2011

To expand, there are some suggestions for exporting but often times an exported entry is just a dumb export option. What could be better is an organizational tool that can cherry pick and curate entries before exporting. Even if it's just a desktop sync tool like Evernote - the ability to filter through two copies in order to release a "curated" copy would be powerful even if no export option exists.

Add simple drawings to a tought (many toughts are better presented visually)
some ways to link ideas together more visual
Related links to aid in discovery of similar items to the one I just tagged.
Interface is CLUTTERED. This won't make a difference for you, but on my netbook the logo bar takes up almost half the screen. Make a minimal bar with search and all and leave the bottom area for WORK. Look at WorkFlowy for an example.
1 | thiagovscoelho Friday, January 6, 2012

Granted, doesn't look so bad on fullscreen. But still... Why so much space for a logo and a search box?

Would like to separate tags from the entry, either on a separate line or on the far right side of the entry
Option to make thinkery a homepage for Chrome (speeddial 2 style -->)
Information is awesome, and the idea this site puts forth is an abundance of awesomeness. Lead. Don't get caugh
1 | jcloud Tuesday, December 27, 2011

---- ^^ That thought continues after the next four dashes. [ No offense to those with two word statements of suggestion, but you gotta say more than 'customize color' or 'add TXT'. Then again, I am an engineer, so maybe I'm already insane. Who knowss. ] My suggest follows. ---- as i was saying - dont get caught and killed by being just another "you can trust us because our site is cool" - open up to Linked Data, the push that "the site" is helping me be more awesome, but I'm more vulnerable for not being given ownership of that data. (What I'm getting at is, consider a dual open source/freemium(as well as maintained & hosted) track.. Some people *have to protect and have possession* of their intellectual property(their thinks. their ideas. documents. data. etc, by running this software on their own platforms (ec2, colo, home *nix server, etc), and choose at a granular level who can have access to what data. Examples where this idea worked: UNIX. :) Berkeley *nix. Linux. and at the app level -- Wordpress, ya might have heard bout. :p Thousands of other proofs: 'freecode,' 'sourceforge,' even google code! So, my request, is to develop a community branch, a pay/hosted branch, and start a big focus on security/data leak prevention. Let your community know, hey, this is serious business, and we have some sharp noodles. It's a 'thinkery,' for chrissakes. The very name challenges to think more. better. And, of course, More Better.

2 | jcloud Tuesday, December 27, 2011

[ omg i didnt know it was going to strip out newlines. ^^ that was actually formatted.haf gud :p ]

Player for mp3 - something like this https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/klphnalhafkamjdgcmpmijohkkokajbg
1 | minus Wednesday, May 18, 2011

very often when I save a webpaage to my thinkery,it saves to another username that it's not mine. So i have to repeated logging with my information(username and password again). Why this behavior ?

2 | alex Thursday, May 19, 2011

usually you don't have to re-login. does this happen between browser restarts? do you have an extension that wipes the browser cookies when starting your browser?

3 | ahayden Wednesday, August 17, 2011

I've tried to login several times and reset my password but receive no email. I ended up having to create a whole new account with a different email address.

it would be nice if i can add a Link / webpage, and i can select a screenshot or the text from page
Multiple archive option
1 | ricardofunke Friday, August 26, 2011

I've imported all my bookmarks from delicious and now I want to archive all of them... But it seems that I'll need to do it one by one, for all my 150 bookmarks...

Forget it, I just found this option on my settings... D'oh! =D

Export/Import to/from Netscape bookmark file format (used in popular web browsers).
1 | marwy Saturday, October 8, 2011

I see that there is an option for importing from html. Still, export will be greatly appreciated.

Folder Feature

I agree

Remember the Milk integration
Diigo synchronization - integration.
It would be AWESOME if you integrated with Evernote!
more colours in design
Cohuman integration (at least to post/link tasks from here to Cohuman)
Diigo integration
1 | kichuku Monday, July 18, 2011

I am a regular user of both Diigo and thinkery. I am surprised how this idea even got negative votes. This would be an amazing idea

Windows Phone 7 App
1 | rekenber Saturday, October 29, 2011

It's still a platform. =)

Facebook and/or twitter connect
Change tagging from # to /. Example- instead of #todo - /todo (because its closer to the Enter key)
1 | Sunday, June 19, 2011

not for all users... (e.g. german layout)

2 | hkb Saturday, August 20, 2011

-14???? well atleast developer can put this as an option? Please?

3 | ahel Thursday, November 3, 2011

it's really near in uk layout (eheh) ;D

4 | donnerhall Sunday, December 25, 2011

Naviagtion short-cuts like j/k (similar to google reader)

5 | musicxrules Monday, January 2, 2012

It could make it harder to add URLs (it might take a little more work to program). A backslash would've been a better suggestion, but it looks like the hash tag is already catching on.

Suggest a new feature

You need to be a thinkery user to suggest a feature.

Already implemented

An application for android.
March 2013: The android app is now available in the Google Play Store: thinkery
1 | mirandahartrampf Monday, July 4, 2011

2 | Thursday, July 14, 2011

pls, pls!! thinkery is amazing by the way!!

3 | dome65 Tuesday, July 19, 2011

on my Htc Desire Hd i cant work on thinkery.me the page is broken because the footer is in the middle of screen. I Tried it with Firefox and Inet Explorer.

4 | mirandahartrampf Sunday, July 24, 2011

Not joking you really need to make an android app, its a pain in the butt to try and use the web on my phone, and app would be so nice and i would be able to get more out of the site!

5 | osteele10 Friday, August 26, 2011

android app is a must have. would use thinkery much more if I could do so easily from my phone.

6 | katemonstah Monday, August 29, 2011

need this

7 | psmatias Wednesday, September 7, 2011

8 | Wednesday, September 28, 2011

plz : an android app synchronized with the chrome one !

9 | js94tj Tuesday, October 11, 2011

Bump on the Android App

10 | mcgp Friday, October 21, 2011

I was just about to suggest this myself! Please...

11 | dreamer37 Wednesday, October 26, 2011

This is becoming more and more essential (and missing) for me every day... love Thinkery; love Android... really need them to work together!

12 | intended Friday, December 2, 2011

13 | nodeax Sunday, December 25, 2011

Could use one

14 | gouti1 Monday, December 26, 2011

Android app please!

15 | facet Thursday, December 29, 2011

++ purleese

16 | mhartl Friday, December 30, 2011

Actually, the HTML mobile app appears to work quite well.

17 | pwheatley Monday, January 2, 2012

The mobile app does not fully work on my Tmobile vibrant. I can only see the summary of entries but not open them. A dedicated app is definitely the way to go if thinkery is not working on it already.

18 | naveen Tuesday, January 3, 2012

When can we expect the app, please?

19 | myth Friday, January 6, 2012

We need this WITH offline support!

20 | neovatsan Thursday, January 26, 2012

Badly need this in android... u simply rock in comparison with evernote & other info gatherring softwares.... expand to the andorid & the "i" world

21 | vile Monday, January 30, 2012

A Thinkery Android App would be very welcome by this satisfied user. A tag or to do list widget of some sort would make Thinkery the best thought organizing app I have ever used.

22 | almagnifico Saturday, February 18, 2012

Android App => paying subscriber!

23 | k4ren Thursday, April 12, 2012

I'd pay for android app! I started using Evernote like 2 months ago and thought it was useful but I hate it now and I just tried out Thinkery and THIS IS WAY BETTER!! I would be satisfied if the website worked well in mobile format if you guys can't get a Android app out. (I use Samsung Galaxy Nexus)

24 | romanovarts Monday, April 23, 2012

Would be happy to pay for android app! Thank you for such a nice thinkery! )

25 | jahanl1 Monday, May 28, 2012

+1 mobile web app is quite nice on my tablet, but native android app with offline & sync options would be awesome.

26 | mosheheller Friday, June 29, 2012

please expedite a Android App

27 | maxvonmillion Wednesday, January 16, 2013

You're ignoring more than half of the 'platforms market'. Android is the dominant OS - and it just keeps getting better with each update! -- BTW, I would *gladly* pay for an android app.

28 | alex Wednesday, January 16, 2013

FYI, we have a beta test running for our upcoming Android app: http://blog.thinkery.me/post/34830180418/thinkery-android-app-beta

API for developers who want to build services around thinkery
1 | nader Tuesday, May 17, 2011

This is definitely needed

2 | schakko Tuesday, May 17, 2011

3 | daam37 Thursday, July 28, 2011

4 | osteele10 Friday, August 26, 2011

not as needed as a mobile app.

5 | balanceit Monday, January 16, 2012

would be great if this would be added to http://ifttt.com/channels

6 | clerestory Tuesday, June 5, 2012

A mobile app would come by a lot faster if this existed.

Improve Chrome extension
All of the requested features have been implemented
1 | alex Monday, May 30, 2011

We recently updated the extension with an edit-after-save. What else would you like to see here?

2 | oliverwheat Thursday, June 16, 2011

when typing tags, after save, i would like tags to be autocomplete.. also i would like a highlight option to be improved :)

3 | Sunday, June 19, 2011

allow to add arbitrary contents (either by chrome popup or omnibox input)

4 | oliverwheat Thursday, June 23, 2011

i would like extension to see if i bookmarked this page already or not. So for example if I already bookmarked it with thinkery extension, then it should be a different color, it would help me not to click on it again.

5 | sandpiper7 Sunday, July 3, 2011

What I'd like to see in the extension is this: when I select text from a page, and 'send to thinkery', I'd like the URL of the page I'm selecting from to be passed to thinkery's URL box too. It's important to me that I can credit my sources and this would automate the record-keeping there.

6 | almagnifico Tuesday, July 5, 2011

comment 2| +1 this will help me to always use the same tags

7 | bokonon Friday, July 15, 2011

I really really really dislike that it auto adds the page and then asks for tags. It would very much like it if it were like many other services extensions where a popup comes up with the option to add a title, tags, or other information. Also in the popup you could just add a note. I may have to go back to pinboard if the extension doesn't change soon and I would honestly love to give you guys a little money just for this feature. It's a necessity for me.

8 | revjoyce Thursday, August 25, 2011

Gee... I feel like a kid in a video shop... such great ideas and things I, myself have been wishing for. As a researcher, I would love to have an auto save of URLs, a popup for title, tags and notes would be awesome, setting or having date/time would be too cool, making sure the thinkery box for tags stays with me long enough to add something, prioritizing with some kind of visual stimuli added as well, and something to prevent me from ending sentences in prepositions is what I am looking for. ..^~^..

9 | diegoalvarez Tuesday, September 13, 2011

Hi, I like the minimalist and good design of this. I would like own notes. Thanks

10 | dawalda Tuesday, September 13, 2011

I second OliverWheat´s request. Also, 2- or 3-word-tags would be great. But it´s a cool app, thankee :)

11 | dawalda Thursday, September 15, 2011

Part II: The scope of (manually) disabling the auto-tagging, auto-completing and auto-categorizing functions of thinkery (well, i fear this wasn´t grammatically correct... Sorry for this, I´m from Germany). E.g.: I mark some lines in amazon, try to add it to my brain and want to tag it with "Book-wishlist" and "Bibliographic Information" (see? 2-word-tag). As it is, for the time being I seem to have to go to my thinkery-account and delete the tags "book", the addenda to the thought just added (as amazon´s Plot-overview) and so on. Another example: I´m recherching in a database like http://sffrd.library.tamu.edu/search/author/17839/ , and again, I want to add the bibliographic information. But by marking "Afterword: Cognition as Ideology: A Dialectic of SF Theory, Miéville, China in: Bould, Mark and Mieville, China, eds. Red Planets: Marxism and Science Fiction. Middletown, CT: Wesleyan University Press, 2009. p. 213-231-248" and adding it to my brain, thinkery auto-categorizes it as link instead of text, and so I have to follow that link to get my information.

12 | diegoalvarez Thursday, September 22, 2011

Notes always visible and at the begginig of the article.

13 | diegoalvarez Thursday, September 22, 2011

Offline service, Turn off confirmation alerts, Show always all the tags. Folders to group different but relationed tags.

14 | diegoalvarez Friday, September 23, 2011

Write any notes with the extension at the same time with the tags.

15 | Monday, December 12, 2011

+1 for "2 | oliverwheat" autocompletion during tagging.

16 | davidowain Sunday, December 25, 2011

"2 | oliverwheat" - Quinn already has this functionality. I'm trying to decide which of these 2 apps I should use, but I think the first to develop a useable Android client will get my vote!

17 | matthew5384 Thursday, December 29, 2011

Ability to change the default tags. YouTube videos always automatically add the tag "video", but what if I wanted something different to be added automatically?

18 | free6000 Monday, February 20, 2012

When I click on the extension, a menu should pop up with my most recent listed thought, similar to the Google task extension: (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dmglolhoplikcoamfgjgammjbgchgjdd?utm_source=google-chrome-extension&utm_medium=awesomenewtabpage&utm_campaign=awesomenewtabpage)

19 | merwin Monday, June 11, 2012

PLEASE add an AUTOSAVE feature. I've lost data a number of times because I'm used to switching/closing screens at will with Springpad and Simplenote

Offline Reading
1 | almagnifico Wednesday, June 8, 2011

Make HTML/TXT things available offline via a a batch function by saving it to a folder plus a offline html file to acess it

2 | bokonon Friday, July 15, 2011

Pinboard charges $25 a year for this. I'm sure people would pay for it here too. Pinboard also lets you download your last 25 bookmarks for offline reading if you just have a normal account. That alone would be worth paying a little money for.

Make things more important or prioritise. Allow choice to make entry green, yellow or red signifying importance.
1 | nader Saturday, October 20, 2012

We had deployed a feature that lets you assign colors and special formatting to things.

SSL, i.e. secure https connection
Improve mobile version
1 | alex Wednesday, May 25, 2011

What are the most important points for you? Focus on easy adding? On searching things? Give us your thoughts!

2 | hkb Monday, May 30, 2011

i think easy adding is accomplished thanks to the bookmarklet. But focus on the site and reduce data transfer.

3 | Friday, November 18, 2011

I'd like a dedicated mobile site, like m.thinkery.me, or so. I'm currently using a Kindle Fire and I'd love to be able to use the compact mobile site instead of the desktop version.

Improve Bookmarklet
All requested features have been implemented
1 | almagnifico Monday, May 23, 2011

the dialog from the bookmarklet shoul have a separate entry field for the tag

2 | hkb Monday, May 30, 2011

3 | almagnifico Friday, June 3, 2011

as I see, this is already done, fine :)

4 | vic Friday, June 24, 2011

I would like to see an extra option (checkbox) to make the entry public

5 | ncw Monday, August 8, 2011

Support for capturing tables.

Improve searching feature(Multiful keywords searching, Searching parts of the word )
1 | Wednesday, May 18, 2011

When I search certain keywords in lowercase, thinkery coudln't find words that is written in uppercase. (Ex/ When I searched 'this', It didn't show 'This' as results)

2 | almagnifico Monday, May 23, 2011

logical OR for search words

Share things to external people (Facebook, twitter)
June 2013: Now implemented
1 | almagnifico Monday, May 23, 2011

And: Create a special twitter account (e.g. @mythinkery), so I can add an @mythinkery to my tweets to forward my tweet into thinkery

Tag auto complete in extension
We have implemented this some time ago.
Android app
(duplicate) The thinkery Android App is now available
1 | kolchinmax Thursday, April 5, 2012

This is a duplicate

display url and/or make clickable
The title is now a link
1 | Monday, September 19, 2011

One would have to specify if there are of type link and then automaticly make a clickable link out of it.

2 | mikejd Monday, January 28, 2013

I see a URL on mine....

better mobile version or start an app
We have released an Android and iOS app.
Mass import from springpad\Evernote\Delicious - we need to import from our already populated apps.
1 | charles Sunday, April 29, 2012

Import from all similar apps

2 | charles Sunday, April 29, 2012

P.S. I would pay for this

A donate button.
Enable a Mass Delete feature to clear our thinkery account of all content.
1 | alex Monday, May 30, 2011

This already exists at http://thinkery.me/mass.php

Clearer highlighting for active thing in list
We have fine-tuned the color scheme
1 | loosewire Wednesday, August 31, 2011

i would like to be able to just highlight stuff easily in the text... right now that doesn't seem to work, or work very well. this is something evernote et al don't offer... and yet it's kind of obvious that we'd like to save text but be able to emphasise some of it...

2 | ssi84 Wednesday, September 7, 2011

To be able to highlight parts and perhaps have the highlighted part saved back to your account, and having the URL of the address attached

autocomplete tag (with user database entry) in Google Chrome addon
We implemented this some time ago.
